If Jesus Drove a Truck

Dear Jeff Street and Payne Hollow Folks,

Finally, the video debut of Stevie singing "If Jesus Drove a Truck." You folks have enjoyed this for some time at the Goatwalker. And thanks for posting the lyrics there. I suppose the true name of the song is "I Don't Know, I Don't Know, I Don't Know." The lyrics are the best part aren't they?

Thanks for your support for my "boy". Actually, I will have to stop using that phrase, for he is truly a fine man. I am not only proud of him, but I look up to him too.

Betsy, a.k.a. Stevie's Mom

You've a right to be proud of him, he's a fine young man. Must have had some great folk raising him.

Is he off traveling yet?

He will be leaving for Mexico at the beginning of July. For now he is paving tennis courts! It's not mining, but it's real work that makes you tired by the end of the day!

You do this family a world of good every time you post one of these videos. We all stand around- my boy sings along, my girls swoon, and I get a smile as big as Mexico on my face. As you already know, he is well loved by the Jeff Street folks. We're quite taken by Zorro too! sue fridenstine

Thanks Sue. I haven't captured either "Mexico" or the whole rendition of "Be Free" on tape yet, but when I do, I'll post. You'll be glad to know that Zorro likes Stevie's songs too. He was composing a new one on the back deck one evening (singing loudly) and Zorro arrived for an evening snack. My husband said that Zorro thought, "Hey, dinner music!"

Constanza Baby!

My heart sank when I heard the story of your fall. Thank God that you are perfectly fine instead of a news item!

You must come see us when Stevie gets back from Mexico. Or even before.
